Fuck Trauma is a podcast that dives deep into the world of trauma.
It provides the listener with a chance to hear stories from people who have been effected by trauma, how it impacts their lives, and motivates those dealing with it to live a good life anyways.

Challenge: to convey emotion for the heavy subject, while also emphasizing
the hope that talking about it can bring, through symbolism and color.
The client provided me with the symbolism that they wanted to have included. A tree to symbolize the
tree of life, ravens flying out of the
tree to signify freedom, and a moon
as a sign for change and hope.

Layer buildup of cover art.
To create the design, digital collage and digital illustration were combined to build a scene that would provide the viewer with a feeling of realness and meaning. After the initial design was finished, the client and I worked together to make sure that the color palette fit the appropriate emotion.

Fuck Trauma logo design
As with the title of the podcast,
this logo was designed to be bold and straight-forward. A reductive texture was applied to compliment the distressed feeling and grittiness of the subject matter. The star of life symbol references health and provides a tactful way to censor the podcast's title for public consumption.

Fuck Trauma podcast music.
Due to the hefty subject matter of the podcast, the goal of the introduction music was to provide a sound that was slightly dark with a heavy bassline, sentimental organ tones, and glitchy percussion with hand claps and female vocals to add a human element.
The outro implements a more uplifting, contemplative feeling with a driving bassline and energetic drums to provide an upbeat yet earnest ending.
